Testimonials

Just wanted to say that if it weren't for my Adrian Tinsley Summer Grant I may not be where I am today. My grant project titled, "I Haven't Bound What I Am Looking For,"  was on artist books and bookmaking. It helped me learn so much about book arts. I am now the Director of Continuing Education at the North Bennet Street School. I may not be binding as many books as I used to, but I help others take workshops and learn an appreciation for books and handmade items.

I really enjoyed being a part of the ATP Research Summer Program because I was able to chose a professor that I really got along with to research something that I really liked. Nowadays it's very difficult to get to do a project with all those positive aspects. During the summer, I was able to focus on the project and enjoy the sun. The project flew by so quickly. Now I'm preparing to go present my great work at a National Conference in New York. The ATP Research Summer Program has given me such a boost for tomorrow. I'm able to prepare for any research paper due to the skills I gained, I'm presenting my own paper in front of a national conference and I'm proud of myself. Thanks to all those at the Undergraduate Research Office and to Dr. Molly Robey.

The Undergraduate Research program at BSU has allowed me to have a far more successful college career than I could have ever imagined. The support of the faculty, staff and administrators provided me with the resources to attend four national conferences, publish two papers and do research with the help of an amazing summer grant. These opportunities paved the way for me to enter graduate school well-prepared to conduct graduate-level research. It is evident that the Undergraduate Research program here at BSU and the dedicated people that support it are the reason many of our students are entering very good graduate programs.
