The Writing Placement Exam is a requirement for all first year students. Best of Luck!

CLAS101 & Advising 101
Get a glimpse into what a college classroom is like at Bridgewater State University! This is a great opportunity to get to know faculty and your fellow peers. Advising 101 is your first chance to speak with a member of our advising staff. They will assist you with any questions and concerns you have about your academic success here at Bridgewater State University.

Campus Service Fair
The Campus Service Fair is a great opportunity to speak with representatives from various offices on campus. They will be happy to answer any of your questions. Take advantage of this opportunity; it is your first glimpse into the many opportunities Bridgewater State University has to offer outside the classroom!
1:45pm-2:45pm Rondileau Campus Center, Auditorium Bridgewater Basics: A Guide to Academic and Co-Curricular Life
A student produced video will introduce you to academic life at Bridgewater State University. Immediately following will be a number of skits performed by the Orientation Leaders depicting situations you may encounter as a student.
2:45pm-3:00pm Rondileau Campus Center, Auditorium Goodbye to Family Members and Stretch Break
Lunch is provided by Sodexho Food Services. Sodexho is open and willing to create a meal that suits your dietary needs.
3:00pm-4:00pm Rondileau Campus Center, Auditorium Residence Life Session and Student Conduct
Spend some time discovering the possibilities and the struggles of being a resident student.
Rondileau Campus Center, Demo Room Commuter Life and Student Conduct: Your Drive for Success
Spend some time discovering the possibilities and the struggles of being a commuter student.
4:15pm-5:00pm Various Locations, West Campus CAN WE TALK
Enjoy some group time with your Orientation Leaders. This is a time for open discussion about the information you have received as well as questions you may still have.
5:00pm-6:00pm Flynn Dining Commons, Tillinghast Hall Dinner
Find your OLs and your Orientation group to sit down for Dinner. This is your chance to relax, discuss your day’s experience, and even ask some questions you might have. At the very least, have some fun with your group!
6:00pm-8:30pm Various Locations, West Campus Classrooms BEAR
Be Educations, Aware & Respectful: College is a whole new experience. The hope of “BEAR” is to expose you to the diversity present on campus. Students, like yourself, come from numerous types of backgrounds and it is important for you to be, at the least, aware of these differences. You will be presented with challenging, difficult, and sometimes moving ideas and situations. Your respect for fellow group members and the exchange of ideas is crucial to the success of the “BEAR” program. Enter with an open mind and you’ll do great!

Hope you had fun last night. Time to get out of bed and prepare for another great day!! Be sure to meet at your designated time and location to start the day off right.

Take advantage of this time to reflect on discussions from last night and what today has in store for you with your group members and OL’s.
