The Connect Card is the official Bridgewater State University identification card. The Connect Card is a multi-purpose card that can be used for library privileges, building access, as a meal ticket, and as a debit card. As a debit card, funds may be used at all dining areas, vending machines, laundry machines, public copiers, The Bookstore, Dunkin Donuts (on campus), Starbucks (on campus), purchasing stamps at BSU mailroom, purchase gym membership and off-campus with participating merchants.
Students, faculty, staff and other campus community members are eligible to obtain Connect Cards. Students must be registered for classes in order to obtain a card. You must provide a photo ID (such as a driver's license) and there is a contract that students, faculty, and staff must sign in order to obtain a Connect Card. Connect Card Etiquette
Students may purchase Flex Dollars that can be used at various locations on campus and off campus. Flex Dollars work dollar for dollar, therefore if you purchase 50 flex dollars you will be credited $50 on your Connect Card. Flex Dollars are accepted in the BSU Bookstore, at vending machines, laundry machines, public photo copiers, stamps at BSU mailroom, dining halls and participating off-campus merchants. Flex Dollars carry over from year to year and upon graduation or withdrawal and balances greater than $20.00 are refundable. (A $20.00 processing fee will be deducted from the balance prior to refund.) Otherwise a refund will be processed for any account that is inactive for a period of 365 consecutive days. Please note if a student has an outstanding balance with the university, the flex dollars will be applied to the account. Any remaining balance will be refunded to the student. Faculty and Staff are also eligible to purchase Flex Dollars. Flex dollars carry from year to year and balances greater than $20.00 are refundable at the end of employment with BSU. (A $20.00 processing fee will be deducted from the balance prior to refund.) A refund check will be issued within 60 days of the end of employment.
You may purchase flex dollars in person at Student Accounts, by mail with a check or credit card (click here to download the form), by phone with a credit card by calling Student Accounts at (508) 531-1225, or by using the Online Card Office with a credit card (MasterCard or VISA). If your Connect Card is lost or stolen please report it immediately to the Parking Services & Connect Card Office at (508) 531-2897 or after hours to the BSU Police Department at (508) 531-1212. Please use the Online Card Office, to freeze your account when the Parking Services and Connect Card office is closed. You will be held responsible for any use of your card until you report it stolen. Temporary Connect Cards are available at the BSU Police Department for resident students to use for access to their Residence Hall until they are able to obtain a new card.
There is a $25.00 fee for replacement Connect Cards. If your card is stolen you must file a police report prior to coming into the Parking Services and Connect Card office and provide our office with a copy to avoid paying the $25.00 fee.
