Master of Public Administration Program

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program offers students a chance to prepare for leadership roles in both public and nonprofit sectors. Whether entering the program with little or no managerial experience or as mid-career professionals looking to earn advanced degrees, students will find quality course work and internship opportunities on a flexible schedule and at a convenient location.

The MPA degree program is designed to provide professional education that prepares individuals for leadership roles in public administration and public affairs at the federal, state and local levels, with flexible career opportunities in both the public and nonprofit sectors.
  

Mission Statement

The Master of Public Administration Program at Bridgewater State College provides rigorous graduate public education, developing core competencies in leadership and service in the public and nonprofit sectors. Consistent with the mission of the College, the Program also uses its resources to engage and advance the economic, cultural, civic, and political life of southeastern Massachusetts, other domestic communities, and our global community.

Bridgewater State College

Founded in 1840, Bridgewater State College is a four-year, comprehensive public college in Southeastern Massachusetts, the fastest-growing region in the northeastern United States.

Bridgewater State College is home to three schools--the School of Education and Allied Studies, the School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Business. Undergraduate students can choose from 30 majors, 48 minors and 54 areas of concentration. At the graduate level, students are offered a number of master's degree and post-baccalaureate licensure programs, a certificate of advanced graduate study and a collaborative doctoral program with the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

With both day and evening classes, the college serves approximately 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Located in the heart of Southeastern Massachusetts, Bridgewater State College is just 28 miles south of Boston and is close to Providence and Cape Cod. The college is easily accessible via major highways (I-495, Route 24), as well as the Old Colony Commuter Rail, which has a stop on the campus.
