Executive Protection Unit
 

 

The Bridgewater State University Police Department Executive Protection Unit is tasked with providing personal protection to dignitaries and other high profile visitors to Bridgewater State University. The Executive Protection Unit enjoys a professional relationship with the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Secret Service, Diplomatic Security Service, several foreign embassies and consulates. Protection has been provided to foreign prime ministers, foreign ambassadors, state governors, and business leaders.

 

Any Bridgewater State University member who wishes to coordinate these services should contact Detective Sergeant Mark Russell at 508-531-2574 or by e-mail at m3russell@bridgew.edu. At the time of the request a threat assessment will be conducted to ascertain what level of protection, if any, is required.  Requests for protection need to be made at the earliest possible time to ensure adequate time to prepare.
