Since the time of its founding in 1840, Bridgewater State College has remained steadfast in its commitment to empower individuals and to instill in its students and faculty a deep appreciation for advancing the public good. These missions are at the very core of the kind of institution we are now and were then. Our strategic priorities rest squarely upon this foundation but with particular emphasis on the following areas:
I. Fostering a rigorous and dynamic academic environment marked by intensive student-faculty engagement

c. Establish external advisory boards in areas of strategic interest to inform the curriculum and provide opportunities for BSC students
d. Increase public awareness of the positive impacts the college has on the communityV. Developing sufficient resources for an attractive, well-staffed and technologically-updated campus
a. Expand and modernize campus facilities to accommodate growth and specialized functions
