BRIDGEWATER --- The Mirrin Trio, a trio comprised of BSC music faculty members, will perform on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Boyden Hall’s Horace Mann Auditorium on the campus of Bridgewater State College.

4/15/08 - BSC OBSERVATORY OPEN TO PUBLIC
BRIDGEWATER – The Bridgewater State College Observatory will be open to the public, weather permitting, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 28. The observatory is located on Summer Street, approximately one half mile from the campus. It is recessed from the street on the opposite side of the road from Carver Pond.

3/13/08 - Gala concert: Celebrating African Arts: Music, Dance, Stories
Bridgewater State College will host Celebrating African Arts: Music, Dance, Stories on Wednesday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Boyden Hall’s Horace Mann Auditorium. This event is part of the College’s Africa Awareness Week activities and will culminate a day-long series of campus-wide drumming and dance workshops, storytelling sessions, and dance aerobics classes.

Terry McMillan, novelist, columnist and editor, is the Spring 2008 Distinguished Speaker at Bridgewater State College. Ms. McMillan will be speaking on Tuesday, March 25 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Rondileau Campus Center Ballroom.

3/6/08 - Water Conservation Study
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, in partnership with the Plymouth Carver Aquifer Advisory Committee, has contracted with Bridgewater State College's Institute for Regional Development (IRD) to study residential, business, and agriculture water usage and perceptions of water conservation issues in the Plymouth Carver Aquifer (PCA).

Bridgewater State College is offering a workshop to assist those planning to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). The GMAT Preparation Workshop will be offered on Thursdays beginning March 27 through Thursday, May 29 with an optional Saturday session on April 26.

Bridgewater State College will be hosting a film series in celebration of Black History Month for the month of February. The film series is sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, the Anthropology Department, The Ethnic Studies Program and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program. The Children’s Physical Developmental Clinic (CPDC) at Bridgewater State College will continue its series of lectures on topics relating to the care, treatment, rehabilitation and education of children with disabilities. All of the lectures, which are free and open to the public, will be held from 8-9 AM Saturday mornings in the Maxwell Library.
