What is an RLC?

Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) at BSU are designed to give students with a particular academic focus or similar interests the opportunity to live together in a residence hall community. Students that signup to live in an RLC benefit from targeted programming and access to resources that will help them to become more successful during their time at the university.

RLCs give students the opportunity to connect their academic goals with their co-curricular interests. Each RLC partners with faculty from the university to create a true learning environment conveniently located in a residence hall community. First year resident students can choose to live in one of the three current RLCs at BSU.

Mission, Vision and Goals for RLCs at BSU

The Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) program at Bridgewater State University aims to support student learning by encouraging academic achievement through connection to faculty, staff, likeminded peers and targeted programming. RLCs work to provide a structure that students can use to grow and develop into engaged citizens in the university and global community.
