Room Selection 2011-2012

Room selection is a process to allow current resident students to choose residence hall rooms for the 2011-2012 academic year. The intent is to make rooms available to students in the fairest manner possible. Check this page frequently for updates and information during room selection.

Room Selection Information
Important Dates
  • Same Room Sign-up: Choose this option if you want to keep your current room assignment for next year.
  • Mixed Gender Housing: Choose this option if you want to live in a suite or apartment with both male and female friends.
  • 9 Month Housing: Choose this option if you meet the criteria and plan to live in the Great Hill Student Apartments from the first day of occupancy in the fall through May 31st and stay in campus through Winter and Spring Breaks.
  • Web Lottery: Choose this option if you want to move to a different room or a different residence hall.
  • Before making a decision we recommend reviewing the 2011-2012 Housing Costs.
  • Monday, January 3, 2011: First Day to pay Room Deposit
  • Friday, March 4, 2011 at 5 PM: Last Day to pay Room Deposit
  • Monday, March 14, 2011 at 9 AM: Room Selection System goes live
  • Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 11:59 PM: Deadline for students to submit their license agreements
  • Monday, April 4 - Wednesday, April 6: Same Room Sign-up (Application is live from 8 AM - 8) PM
  • Friday, April 8, 2011:  Students participating in Web Lottery will receive their selection time via email.  Students may also log into MyHousing to view their time.
  • Monday, April 11 - Wednesday, April 13: Web Lottery Selection (Application is live from 8 AM - 8 PM)
Steps to Successfully Select Your Room
  1. Pay your Room Deposit by deadline
  2. Complete your License Agreement
  3. View your Lottery Number
  4. Select Your Meal Plan
  5. Set up Your Roommate Group (optional)
  6. Browse Available Rooms  (after March 14, 2011)
  7. Same Room Sign-up
  8. Web Lottery

  • Come to an Information Session
    • Wednesday, March 16th at 6:00 PM at RHA Full House in the RCC Council Chambers
    • Monday, March 28th at 7:00 PM in the Moakley Auditorium (focus will be on Same Room Sign-up)
    • Monday, April 4th at 6 PM in the Shea/Durgin Quiet Lounge and the Woodward Hall TV Lounge (focus will be on the Web Lottery Process)
    • Wednesday, April 6th at 7:00 PM in the Library Lecture Hall (focus will be on Web Lottery Process)
  • Stop by the Residence Life and Housing Office in 100 DiNardo Hall
    • Open for EXTENDED HOURS: April 4th - 6th and April 11th - 13th from 8 AM - 8 PM
