Dr. Stephen Waratuke Steve Waratuke oversees the STREAMS Summer Bridge Program. The Summer Bridge Program invites 16 incoming freshman science and math majors to live on campus for three weeks prior to their fall semester. During this time, students are immersed in undergraduate research and coursework designed to prepare them for a successful first year of science and math coursework. Steve recruits summer bridge students, organized research experience placement, oversees curriculum development, and recruits peer lab and writing mentors. Dr. Jennifer Mendell Jenna Mendell oversees the STREAMS Transfer Student Program. STREAMS partners with Massassoit and Cape Cod Community Colelges to assist math and science majors from those colleges make a successful transition to BSC. Dr. Jeff Williams Jeff Williams oversees the STREAMS Residential Learning Community. Beginning in Fall 2011, students who are majoring in science or mathematics can live in a special living and learning community with students of similar interests. Jeff is overseeing the creation and organization of the residential learning community and will oversee the selection of students to live in the community next year. Dr. Matthew Salomone Matt Salomone oversees the STREAMS Structured Learning Assistance and is on the STREAMS curriculum team. Structured learning assistance is a student-led intervention in introductory courses in the science and mathematics majors. Peer learning assistants (PALs) assist faculty in delivering inquiry- and team-based problem solving.
