Mission
OUR MISSION: The mission of Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) is to promote high-quality education, in particular publicly supported education, as essential to the development and maintenance of a democratic way of life. This mission is accomplished through leadership, research, and service in education.
OUR BELIEFS:

- We believe that high-quality education for all is essential to the development and maintenance of a democratic way of life.
- We believe in upholding the ethical ideals of leadership, research, and service.
- We believe that leadership should be nurtured and developed.
- We believe that a dynamic organization incorporates the needs of its members, is responsive to the environment and trends, and changes as needed.
- We believe that diversity strengthens our association.
For a century, volunteers at all levels have provided leadership, insight, and inspiration for a network of chapters around the world. PDK chapters are contributing to the betterment of education, communities, and society by putting into action the mission of the association and its tenets of leadership, service, and research.
