Joint Degree Bachelor of Science/Master of Science
in Criminal Justice Program
Undergraduate
criminal justice majors enrolled at Bridgewater State college who have earned at
least 90 credits, who have not taken SOCI 402, SOCI 403 or the Senior Project
and who meet the following admissions standards may apply for the dual degree
program.
Clear Admission Criteria
- Applicants must have at least a 2.75 GPA in their non major courses and
a 3.3 GPA in their major, criminal justice.
- A composite score of 1,000 on the GRE.
- A completed application.
- Three letters of recommendation. All three from professors or one being
from an employer.
Conditional Acceptance Criteria
- Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA in their non major courses and a 3.0
GPA in their major, criminal justice.
- A composite score of 700-999 on the GRE.
- Three letters of recommendation. All three from professors or one being
from an employer.
Conditions that must be met to move from
conditional to clear graduate student status:
- The student must attain a GPA of at least 3.0 after the completion of
his/her first two courses in the program.
- If a student does not earn a GPA of at least 3.0 after completing the
first two courses in the program, he/she will be discontinued form the five
year program and will need to complete requirements for the BS program.
