The maintaining of the college inventory system is coordinated by the Central Receiving and Inventory Management Department. As goods are received in the Central Receiving and Inventory Management Department, items are bar coded, entered in the computerized inventory system, and then distributed to the campus. Departments receiving goods directly from a shipper to the departments should notify the storekeepers so that the items are properly tagged and bar coded and become part of the college inventory. When items are moved within a department or loaned to another department, the storekeepers may provide assistance with the move and should be notified so the inventory system is updated. Lost or stolen items should be reported to the Campus Police as well as the storekeepers.
For assistance with removing unwanted or surplus furnishings and equipment, please notify the Central Receiving and Inventory Management Department. All state owned property must be processed in accordance with policies formulated by the State Surplus Property Office.
All campus moves which consist of office moves, department moves, and event set ups are coordinated and executed by the Central Receiving and Inventory Management Department.
