About the OGSP

There are many benefits to working with our office.  They include--finding grant opportunities, receiving custom searches for funding, editing your proposals and developing project budgets.  We can also obtain approvals & signatures, submit your proposals, act as a liaison to funding sources and ensure compliance with research policies.

In addition, there are many benefits of applying for grants, for both you and BSC.  Grants can--provide summer salaries for faculty as well as additional compensation, help reduce your teaching load, enable you to hire grad or undergrad assistants, fund purchase of equipment or supplies, provide a pool of indirect funding for professional development, and allow you to build your research portfolio for tenure & promotion.
