Duties   Qualifications
  The Dispatcher will work cooperatively with the Lead Dispatcher, Chief Instructor and appropriate Bridgewater State University staff to organize and oversee implementation of the semester flight training schedule. Manage and schedule training equipment resources as appropriate and necessary to fulfill the training goals and objectives of Bridgewater Aviation Flight Operations, to include but not be limited to training operations, maintenance, repair, and replacement; work proactively to keep the Chief Instructor (or his/her designee) informed as necessary regarding any issues relevant to flight or ground training operations; actively seek and employ guidance to improve professional performance; authorize and supervise training equipment release and return in accordance with FAA and Bridgewater State Aviation policies and procedures; work cooperatively with other Bridgewater Aviation staff to ensure the highest attainable levels of operational efficiency and safety; responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to both internal and external constituents (e.g. CFIs, ATC, students, etc.); analyze and evaluate pertinent local and regional flight information (e.g. forecast weather, airport conditions, NOTAMs) to determine potential flight safety risks, and makes timely and appropriate recommendations to flight crews and the Chief Instructor or his/her designee.     Must have transportation. Must be reliable. Ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to give written and oral instructions in a precise, understandable manner; ability to deal tactfully with others; ability to establish rapport and maintain harmonious working relationships with others; ability to exercise sound judgment; ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information Strong computer skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, various Windows utilities and web based applications. - Working knowledge of Banner systems. - Basic aviation knowledge (general aviation and Part 141 knowledge preferred).
