My name is Amanda Zadok, I'm currently a senior at BSU and I just returned from China! I studied as an exchange student at Shanghai Normal University in Shanghai, China. I decided to study abroad for a few reasons. First of all, I'm an Anthropology major with a culture concentration so I felt that it was a good idea to experience another culture. I think it is important for everyone to experience another culture in their life though. I feel that to understand our own culture we need to see how others live. I also studied abroad because I wanted to learn Chinese in the best environment possible to learn it (obviously a Chinese speaking area.) Finally, I studied abroad because I just wanted to see how people live on the other side of the world, and to really get an understanding of how small this world can be!
