FAQ's about NSE

Description:

Bridgewater State College is a partner institution in the National Student Exchange (NSE) network. Choose from over 181 colleges and universities in the USA and its territories, including Alaska, Guam, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, California and Florida.

For many of the schools, you will have the option of paying tuition/fees to Bridgewater State College (Plan B). If this is not an option at the schools you select, you will be able to pay in-state tuition/fees at the host campus (Plan A). Food and housing are always paid to the host campus, unless you are living off-campus.

The priority application deadline for NSE is February 13, 2009. All applications should be submitted to the Office of Study Abroad in the Maxwell Library, Room 100B. You will meet with a representative of the Office of Study Abroad at BSC who will review your application first. If your application meets the NSE criteria it will be submitted for consideration in the program. We recommend that you select 3-4 possible host schools, just in case you are unable to get your first or second choices.

Please visit www.nse.org for more information about your NSE options. Information booklets and applications are available in the Office of Study Abroad . Priority Applications are due February 13, 2009. After this date, applications will be considered as time and space allow. Stop by the Office of Study Abroad today for more information and to discuss your options.

Deadline:

The February 1st deadline applies to the entire following academic year. February 13, 2009 will be the deadline for all applicants studying during the 2009/2010 academic year. Applications submitted after this deadline are considered on a case by case basis if time and space allow. Please apply early for priority placement to the school of your choice.
