University of Cape Verde

We are excited to announce that an exchange agreement has been signed with the University of Cape Verde. " The signing of an agreement with the University of Cape Verde shines a spotlight on a partnership that has been evolving over the past several years" said Dr. Edward Minnock, vice- president of external affairs. Students will now be able to participate in an exchange to the University of Cape Verde and experience all that the island nation has to offer.

 

 

Visitors from China's Jiaotong University Welcomed to Campus

Pictured below is BSC President Dana Mohler- Faria , Vice President Edward Minnock,  School of Arts and Sciences Acting Dean Dr. Rita Miller, and Dr. Wing-Kai To at a luncheon  with visitors from Jiaotong University. Since last year, Jiaotong University has been a partner with Bridgewater and currently there are five students from the university studying at BSC. Also three professors from Jiaotong University came to Bridgewater last February for research and teaching. Two of those professors remain here .In June  BSC will be sponsoring a three week study tour to Jiaotong University .

   

 

Innisfree International College and Convention Centre in Sligo, Ireland

Bridgewater State College recently hosted a delegation of college representatives from Innisfree International College in Sligo, Ireland to discuss the possibility of future faculty exchange programs, study tour programs, and study abroad opportunities for Bridgewater State College students. Innisfree International College is set in the heart of Yeats Country, on the shores of Lough Gill and is one of the most scenic campus locations in Ireland. The college is only a matter of minutes away from Sligo City, a vibrant and rapidly expanding social, cultural, and commercial centre. Steeped in history, Sligo plays host to numerous pre-historic remains, archaeological gems and areas of outstanding national beauty.
