History and Business

Historical Legacy and the Global Business Future: Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou

June 27-July 18, 2011

           

Participants of this tour may elect to enroll in either the history or  business section of this course to earn  three credits in history or management. The History portion of this tour will provide an overview of Chinese culture, historical traditions, and modern transformation through site visits at partner universities in China and Hong Kong and history sites. The business section of this will provide students with firsthand exposure to international business and markets, business practices, and institution.

          

Highlights

  • Stays at campus hotels  at Beijing Jiatong University, The Hong Kong Institute of Education, and Sun Ya-sen University

  • Walk the legendary Great Wall of China

  • Explore The Forbidden City (the imperial palace of the emperors of China's last two dynasties

  • Visit Tiananmen Square the world's largest public square

Estimated Program Cost

Fulltime BSU Students

All Fulltime BSU students will be awarded a scholarship. This scholarship will cover tuition, fees, and a portion of the trip. The cost of the tour after applied scholarship money is $2966.00

Non BSU Participants

The cost for Non BSU Participants is $3366.00 (plus tuition and fees)

The Cost of the Tour Includes:

  • All Travel Expenses included on the itinerary

  • Housing

  • Airfare

How to Apply

1. Attend a Study Abroad 101 session

2.Complete the BSU Study Tour Application below and return them to the Office of Study Abroad

2. Visit the Financial Aid office to discuss how you will fund your trip. Some students take out loans to cover the cost of the trip.

3. Apply for a passport immediately to ensure your ability to travel.

4. Discuss any concerns with the staff in the Office of Study Abroad early in the application process.
