Our liberal arts and professional preparation programs combine practical experience with theory, history and practical training. Our students combine theater and dance studies with other majors, develop versatile backgrounds in theater and dance and other arts, or pursue work for advanced study or careers in the arts. Students also combine theater and dance studies with training in the foremost public teacher education program in the Commonwealth.
The modest program size of 50 to 70 majors allows many opportunities for motivated students to participate actively and pursue projects for their own development. Our graduates work in arts professions, teach theater or dance, or pursue careers relying on talents developed through theater and dance study.
The busy production schedule includes at least two major works of dramatic art, a musical, a laboratory production, two major dance concerts, as well as student-generated studio productions and concerts.
