Service Learning
Service Learning is a teaching methodology that utilizes community service as a means of helping students gain a deeper understanding of course objectives, acquire new knowledge, and engage in civic activity.
 

SERV: State Employees Responding as Volunteers Program

SERV is an employee benefit available to eligible employees in the Executive Branch who have at least six months of state service.  With supervisor approval, an employee may volunteer during regular work schedule up to one day per month at an approved Massachusetts non-profit organization (7.5 or 8 hours/month; pro-rated for part-time employees.)

 

Community Service Center
The Community Service Center, a division of Student Affairs, is available to assist individual students, student groups, faculty, and staff in finding community service or volunteer opportunities that is right for them.  In an effort to promote student learning, the Community Service Center provides numerous community service opportunities throughout the school year
