The 1840 Society membership recognizes those special alumni and friends of Bridgewater State who have included the college in their estate plans.

We thank you for having such high regard for the mission of Bridgewater State College that you would consider including us in your estate plans. Once you have finalized your planned gift, we would like to welcome into The 1840 Society, where your membership can be made public or kept anonymous.

If your bequest is public, we will take the opportunity to keep you up-to-date with the latest developments in your area of interest, and we will thank you publically for your generosity; this may, in turn, inspire others to follow in your footsteps.

If you wish to remain anonymous, the details of your bequest will be known only to those authorized at the college. Our knowing of your gift intention ensures that your eventual gift is administered exactly according to your wishes. You can choose to remain anonymous in your lifetime or forever -- it's entirely up to you.
