WAC Discussion Group: Why teach with writing?

This first WAC Discussion Group of the semester, led by WAC Network members Lee Torda and Anne Doyle, focuses on exploring the question, “Why teach with writing?”  We'll talk about what motivates us to use writing as a tool for teaching and learning, what approaches we've tried, the challenges, and how we negotiate those challenges, as well as brainstorm more ways to integrate writing into our teaching.

Come to share your knowledge, learn from your colleagues, and explore approaches to teaching with writing.  You are welcome to bring an assignment or syllabus to share.

This workshop will be held twice, to accommodate different teaching schedules:

Wednesday, September 16, from 10:00-11:00 in the CART Board Room (Moakley)

Thursday, September 17, from 2-3:30 in the OUR Multipurpose Room (Library 200)
