Student Publication Venues

There are a wide variety of publication venues for student writing at BSC:

Embracing Writing: First-Year Writing at Bridgewater State College gives a series of awards in recognition of excellence in student writing in Writing I, Writing II, First Year Seminar, and Second Year Seminar.  For a description of these awards, click here.  Winners of these awards receive $50, are guaranteed publication of their awarding-winning writing in the next edition of Embracing Writing, and are celebrated during an awards reception.  For more information, contact Dr. Anne Doyle, Writing Program Administrator.  To submit a piece of writing for this award, please complete the submission form and send it to Dr. Michelle Cox, at michelle.cox@bridgew.edu.

The Bridge: A Student Journal of Literature and Fine Art, managed entirely by students, showcases the artistic talents of the student body.  Visit the bridge's homepage for more information about the submission process.

The Undergraduate Review, administered by the Adrian Tinsley Program for Undergraduate Research, publishes student research and creative work done as part of a class or under the mentorship of Bridgewater faculty.  Visit the Undergraduate Review's homepage for learning more information about the submission process.

The Comment, BSC's student-run newspaper, encourages students unaffiliated with the newspaper to submit articles and editorials.
