The Women's and Gender Studies Program would like to invite BSU students to join an informal discussion group that addresses a variety of topics on women and gender.  The first meeting will be organizational and students will be asked what discussion topics would interest them for future thematic meetings. 

Faculty Presentation:

Diana Fox will present, "Women in the Field:  Subjectivity and Anthropological Fieldwork - A Jamaican Journey".  This talk is sponsored by the Anthropology Department and the Anthropology and Archaeology Club along with Women's and Gender Studies.  

Informational Sessions for the GLBT Studies Minor and the WGS Minor:

Thursday, October 21, 12:30-1:30, MDR (Library)

The WGS Program will hold two informational sessions for students interested in pursuing either the GLBT Studies Minor or the WGS Minor.  WGS faculty will introduce these students to the requirements and possibilities that exist with these minors, and students will be able to ask questions. 

National Day on Writing:

October 20, Heritage Room, Maxwell Library

The 11:00-1:00 session for U.S. Ethnic Studies Program readings and open mic will also include women's and gender studies as a topic. 

Women's and Gender Studies Faculty/Staff Meeting:

Tuesday, October 26, 12:30-1:30, RCC 202. 

A light lunch will be served and we will continue our discussion from the previous WGS meeting.
