What if I am not a marketing major or minor?

Have no fear! Many of the members are not marketing majors or minors. The AMA touches all aspects of majors. We use graphic designers and English majors in our advertising department. Engineers can help design the conference exhibit. As a student member you get to use the skills learned in your major. The AMA is a well rounded student organization that deals with all majors at BSC.

What is the conference?

The conference is where all the AMA student chapters meet to network and show off what they have accomplished in the last year. This is where the annual plan is presented and an award is given for the best annual plan. At the conference there are exhibits from each club, and also awards for the best exhibit. Also, there is the sales competition, which is a blast. AMA members sell a product or service to another member and they are judged on their performance. There is a generous cash prize for the winners (yes, winners) in this competition. The conference is where AMA members bond with each other and network with representatives from other student chapters.
