Bridgewater State University's Arts for Youth

Devin Chaves (Arts for Teens Music Director): This is Devin's third year with the Arts for Teens program, and his fourth with Arts for Youth. Currently, Devin is going into his sophomore year at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where he is pursuing a double major: Music and Nursing.  In the past, Devin has worked on five teens shows, the most recent being “The Music Man” and “Alice in Wonderland”. He has also had the opportunity of working as musical director for the Arts for Youth Spring Revue in 2010.  Over the years, Devin has been very active in the music field. He has auditioned for and performed in six annual Southeastern Massachusetts Festival choirs, as well as three Massachusetts All-State choirs, performing at Symphony Hall in Boston. Outside of singing, Devin is also very active in the musical theater scene. He has music directed multiple shows at the Joseph H. Martin School and has also music directed the Star Players of Bristol County’s production of “The Magic of Christmas”. This summer, he will be their rehearsal pianist for their production of “Fiddler on the Roof”. He looks forward to another great summer at Arts for Youth/Teens.
