How do I get to the Arts for Youth campus?
Our camp is located at the Burnell School on Hooper Street, right off of Rt. 104 in Bridgewater. You will see a yellow AfY sign marking the entrance to Hooper St. Directions from North, South, East, West and the Cape are below.
- Take I-93 to Route 24 South
- Follow Route 24 South to Exit 15 (Bridgewater/Raynham - Route 104).
- Take Route 104 East to stop sign (approximately three miles).
- Turn left and approach rotary in Bridgewater Center.
- Just before traffic light, bear right merging on to Summer Street (Route 104 East).
- Bear left through traffic light.
- Go over railroad tracks.
- Take right on to Hooper Street.
- Follow the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to I-495 South to Exit 7A (Route 24 North).
- Once on Route 24 North, take Exit 15 (Bridgewater/Raynham - Route 104).
- Follow Route 104 East to stop sign (approximately three miles).
- Turn left and approach rotary in Bridgewater Center.
- Proceed to rotary, stay in right lane within rotary.
- Just before traffic light, bear right merging on to Summer Street (Route 104 East).
- Bear left through traffic light.
- Go over railroad tracks.
- Take right on to Hooper Street.
- Follow Route 106 West to Route 104.
- Proceed to rotary, stay in right lane within rotary.

You can park in the Hooper Parking lot, which is immediately on your left on Hooper Street, or proceed further up the road and park in the lot directly across the street from the school. On the first day of camp, there will be AfY staff posted by the parking lots and the front of the school, to guide you in the right direction.
No. Your child should bring a bag lunch, and something to drink – lunch is held each day at 12:00pm in the cafeteria. Your child is also welcome to bring bottled water (please label with your child’s name) to have throughout the day.
What do I do with my child’s medication?
All medications should be labeled and left with our office manager, with specific instructions for use.
Will there be outdoor activities or sports?
Yes. If your child is a sports enthusiast, and will likely participate in our sports workshops, please apply sun block before they come to camp! You are also welcome to leave sun block labeled with your child’s name in our office, and we can help them apply it before they go outdoors. Sneakers are required for outdoor sports.
Can I visit camp during the day?
Yes. AfY hosts a 12:30 revue each day, and parents are welcome to attend. The show features our campers, as they share new skills they are learning in classes and workshops, tell jokes and riddles, and present art work they have created throughout the session. Additionally, we hold an Arts Festival on the last day of each session where family and friends are encouraged to attend.
