Saturday Spring Workshop
For kids ages 7-12
Arts for Youth announces enrollment for the Saturday Spring Musical 2010. This spring we will offer a “10 consecutive Saturday” program devoted to learning an original Disney Musical Revue – a revue full of beloved Disney classics, as well as contemporary Disney songs the whole family knows and loves! The program is open to boys and girls, ages 7-12, and no previous performance experience is required for children to join the cast. The emphasis will be on acquiring basic performance skills that include singing, dancing, and acting, as the cast provides short, dramatic dialogue to knit our Disney Revue together.
The purpose of our spring program is to have the participants enjoy the artistic experience of working together on an original musical production, in a non competitive and comfortable environment. Fun is the key word here, as kids develop their confidence, both on the stage and off! All Saturday classes will meet at the Maxwell Library Lecture Hall at BSC, diagonally across the street from the Kelly Gym on Park Street.
Classes begin February 6, and run through April 10th
*On April 10, there will be a performance, open to family, friends, and other interested community members!
