BSU has a strong athletic tradition, which has grown to include 21 intercollegiate varsity sports teams, a full range of intramural athletic programs, and a number of club sports programs.


BSU Bears compete in Division III of the NCAA and are members of the ECAC and MASCAC.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

Like to work out? Our $17 million Tinsley Center includes an indoor track, main court and a gleaming fitness center opened in 2002. Tennis courts, soccer, baseball, softball and football fields surround the complex. Across campus, in the Kelly Gym, is our Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Outdoor Recreation Trails

Did you know BSU has more than 3 miles of recreation trails surrounding Great Hill? These trails are suitable for many activities including, walking, running, mountain biking, as well as snowshoeing and back-country skiing. Download a trail map or learn more about Great Hill trails.
