Paula Sullivan - Class of 1989

Paula Sullivan established herself athletically at Bridgewater State College in the sports of basketball and tennis. During her senior year she captained both teams. After leaving BSC she made a significant impact on the world of athletics when she established the women's basketball program at Stonehill College in 1971.

Paula was head coach for the Lady Chieftains from 1971-1995. She currently ranks #6 nationally among all active Division II women's basketball coaches with a career record of 478-159. Her teams have been selected to the NCAA basketball tournament ten times and she has been named "Coach of the Year" in the Northeast 10 on five occasions. Since 1984 to 1995 Paula has served as the Assistant Director of Athletics at Stonehill and in 1996 she was named Athletic Director, a position she still holds today. In 1988, she was inducted into the Stonehill Athletics Hall of Fame. She presently resides in Falmouth, MA.
