Clement Daley - Class of 1990
Clement Daley was a start basketball player for Bridgewater State during the late 1930's. He played in every game
except one while at BSC. Away from the basketball court, Clem was also involved with the Newman Club and served as
the Treasurer of the Student Council. Following his graduation in 1939, Mr. Daley taught school in the Brockton
School system before being commissioned an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Daley also continued
with his education receiving a M.Ed degree from Boston University in 1943 as well as an M.B.A. in 1955 from Harvard
Business School.
Upon his retirement in 1965 with the rank of captain, he returned to civilian life and became the Founding
President of Teaching Resources Corporation, a subsidiary The New York Times Company. Teaching Resources published
educational material for special needs students. Now retired, Mr. Daley resides in Marshfield, MA.
