Joseph Morey - Class of 1992
Joseph Morey was an outstanding three-sport athlete at BSC in baseball, basketball and football. He is best known
for his achievements following his graduation in the neighboring town of East Bridgewater where he became a legend as
head coach for the high school basketball team. In his 36-year coaching career at EBHS Morey had a 368-256 won-loss
record. His teams won 10 league titles in the Mayflower and South Shore Leagues. His teams made the Tech Tourney
seven times reaching the semifinals three times and winning the Class D title once. The East Bridgewater High School
gymnasium is now named in his honor.
Mr. Morey, who passed away in 1975, follows his older brother Richard Morey (a 1991 BSC Hall of Fame member) into
the BSC Hall of Fame.
