Thomas Sparkes - Class of 1995

Thomas Sparkes earned 10 letters during his four years at Bridgewater State in baseball (4),basketball (4) and soccer (2). He was team captain of the basketball team his junior year and also the president of the Men's Athletic Association during the 1940-41.

Following four years of duty in the Army Air Force during WW II, Mr. Sparkes spent 34 years in the Chatham school system, 17 as a teacher, coach and assistant principal, and 17 as an intermediate school principal.

Mr. Sparkes passed away in August of 2000.
