Karan Parkin - Class of 1996

Karan Parkin competed in track and field, specifically the discus, at Bridgewater State from 1980-83. Her throw of 147' 10 in the discus in 1983 still stands as the BSC discus record. That same year she was also the New England champion in the discus. During her career she qualified for the NCAA Championships three times and was on the All-East team for all divisions from 1980-83. She was even invited to the prestigious Penn Relays in the Open Division.

A native of West Boylston, MA, Karan is now a representative for The Prudential Company and lives in Charlton, MA.
