Elaine Clement-Holbrook - Class of 2001
Elaine Clement-Holbrook played basketball (1972) and softball (1972-75) at BSC. She was the team captain for the
softball team in 1975. After earning her undergraduate degree, she continued on at BSC to earn a Masters in Health
Education in 1981. "Laney" Holbrook is most known for being one of the top girls basketball coaches in New England at
Oliver Ames High School in Easton, MA.
Since 1975 Holbrook has amassed an incredible record of 410-173. Her teams have qualified for the state tournament
24 of the last 26 years, including the last 17 in row. Under Holbrook's guidance, Oliver Ames has produced 16
basketball players who have received scholarships to play at Division I and II institutions. She has won numerous
coaching awards during her career and was included in the Dedham High School Athletic Hall of Fame inaugural class in
1999.
Outside of coaching, Ms. Holbrook is a Biology Teacher at Oliver Ames.
