Brett J. Murray - Class of 2005

Brett J. Murray competed in wrestling from 1995 to 1999 at Bridgewater State. He was the first BSC wrestler to capture All-New New England honors on three separate occasions in 1997 (158-lb.), 1998 (174-lb.) and 1999 (165-lb.). A three-time Pilgrim Wrestling League All-Star, Brett was also the team captain of the 1998-99 squad. Brett ranks second in career wins at Bridgewater State with 90, and his 32 wins during the 1996-97 season and again in 1998-99 ranks him third for most single-season victories in school history. Brett's 32-4 record during his senior season of 1998-99 ranks as one of the best seasons ever by a Bridgewater State wrestler. His .889 winning percentage that season is the second highest single-season mark in program history. His career winning percentage of .720 (90-35) also places him second all-time at BSC and his 24 career pins is fourth all-time. A 1999 graduate of Bridgewater State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, Brett is currently working for Alpharma as a District Sales Manager. He presently resides in Plymouth with his wife, Michelle, and their son, Joshua.
