Flight Operations Internship Program

Objective

This internship is currently for Flight Training concentration students only. BSU students will have the opportunity to work as an intern at Cape Air while enrolled in the Aviation Science Flight Training program. Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, have a letter of recommendation from the Department Chair and the BSU Aviation Program Manager.

Interns must be in their Junior or Senior year. An interview with Cape Air will be conducted for each student in order to be enrolled in the program. Internships will be during the Fall and Spring Semesters with a goal of 2 to 4 students per semester.

Timeline

  • The earliest date students can apply for this internship is spring semester of sophomore year.

  • Students must comply with all Bridgewater State University and Cape Air internship requirements.

  • Junior or Senior Year - Semester Internship at Cape Air

Coursework

Internship -

  • Course Title: Cape Air Experience

  • 3 credits

  • Duration: 12 weeks, 12 hours each week (two 6.0 hour days)

  • This is an unpaid internship and will be for college credit only

  • Work will consist of an office project

  • Intern will be eligible for travel benefits on Cape Air flights only
