Bridgewater State University has opened the doors of our Professional Pilot Program to the general public! We now offer non-credit flight training at our Aviation Training Center located at the New Bedford Regional Airport.

If you want to become a professional pilot for a career in the airlines, corporate or charter operations, BSU Aviation can make it a reality! We are an FAA approved 141 flight school however we can train under Part 61 as well.  We also provide flight training for folks who just want to fly as a hobby.

We offer FAA approved flight training for the following programs:

 

Private Pilot

Instrument

Commercial

Flight Instructor

We are working with international and domestic airlines to provide primary instruction for their future airline pilots. We offer a complete Professional Pilot Program in the most challenging environment that will prepare selected candidates to succeed in the demanding world of aviation.

BSU Aviation provides the resources necessary to accelerate through the program at a rapid pace. The airline industry is on track to hire almost 500,000 pilots world wide over the next 20 years. (Boeing Study)  Combine this with the fact that applications for the FAA Commercial Pilot License has dropped by more than 65% over the last 10 years and we have a huge pilot shortage!
