BSU Aviation / Island Airlines Internship

Dennis Murphy (BSU Aviation 11') with Brent Hanley (BSU Aviation 90') VP- Chief Pilot and part owner of Island Airlines.  Island Airlines is the leading airline out of Hyannis serving Nantucket utilizing C402 and C208 Caravan aircraft all year round.

BSU Aviation is constantly looking for opportunities with our professional Alumni throughout the aviation industry. This a fine example of BSU Alum giving back to the up and coming professionals of the aviation industry!

BSU Aviation Program Manager, Greg Bongiorno far left (BSUA 95') coordinated this internship with Island Airlines. Philip Geraci (second from left) Director of  Customer Relations for Island Airlines was an integral part in guiding Dennis throughout the internship.Thanks Phil! Dennis was able to experience every aspect of running a small airline. He worked the ticket desk and ramp, assisted the Chief Pilot and Director of Maintenance with day to day operational issues and even logged some air time on dead head flights.
