February is Recruiting Readiness Month
Seniors...it's time to prepare for your first professional job search, and Career Services is here to help you.  February is the time to get a head start.  Are you interested in participating in On-Campus Interviews, the Resume Referral Program and many other programs and events for seniors?  Then you need to schedule your Senior Recruiting appointment with Career Services, attend Career Services workshops and enter our Interview Makeover Contest.  Call 508-531-1328 to setup your appointment with a counselor TODAY!

Dress for Success Workshop
Tuesday, March 1, 2012 | 12:30 - 1:45 pm | Rondileau Campus Center, Room 209

Sare´ Arnold, Talent Acquisition Manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car will provide recommendations on dressing for success for interviews and after you land the job.  The first 50 attendees will receive a 15% coupon and a special gift bag from MACY'S.

Interview Makeover Contest
Job searching and don't have a thing to wear to an interview?  Enter the Interview Makeover contest to win a full interview outfit, career coaching session and much more!  To enter, you must be a senior, complete a Senior Recruiting appointment and upload your critiqued resume into Careerlink@BSU.  Deadline to enter is Friday,  March 2nd.

 

Internship Information & Newsletters

The Tinsley Public Service Award in the amount of $2000 is available.   The award will be granted to a qualifying junior or senior who secures and completes an unpaid credit-bearing internship for summer 2012.  All majors are eligible, with preference given to students with a demonstrated interest in public service, non-profit, government, social service or educational setting.  Applications must be submitted by April 20, 2012.

Internships:  The Washington Center Program (TWC) - Introducing a NEW Postgraduate Professional Development Program!  Spring quarter 2012 brings a new opportunity for recent graduates interested in interning through the Washington Center.  For the first time this year, TWC will offer a 10-week option from March 11 to May 19, 2012 for students who wish to pursue the Postgraduate Professional Development Program (PPDP).

Experiential Learning Expo, (ELE) - Mark your calendar now for this upcoming spring event.  Monday, April 23, 2012 (All day event; Moakley and Burnell).  More details to follow in January!
