Bridgewater State University Students Win in

Center For Entrepreneurship Studies Business Plan Competition

 

Bridgewater, MA (April 14, 2012) – The  Center for Entrepreneurship Studies at Bridgewater State University is proud to announce the winners of the 4th Annual Business Plan Competition. They are as follows:

First prize of $2,500 to Craig Rondeau of Marshfield for “Business Station”. Mr. Rondeau also receives free legal services from Attorney John Koenig of Indigo Venture Law Offices.

Second prize of $1,000 to Ross DePina, with Charles Monfort and Levy Silva, all residents of Brockton, for their presentation “Golden Gaming Center”

Third prize of $500 goes to Eric Solberg of Plainville for his presentation, “Lawn in Order”.

Sponsors included Indigo Venture Law Offices of Cambridge and NTB Associates of Bridgewater, MA. Distinguished judges were Jim Geisman, Founder and Principal of Software Pricing Partners;  Chris Golden, Chairman of the Boynton Angels, and Brian Hanley, Vice President, Middlesex Savings Bank. The Master of Ceremonies was  Entrepreneur-in-Residence Norman Brust, NTB Associates.

Last year’s winners included Donna Marchand of Hingham, who has launched a new business, Stix for Chix, www.stixforchix.com.

 


WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

> All current full-time and part-time BSU students from any department, registered with BSU for the Spring 2012 semester are eligible.
> People who do not meet this requirement may join or form teams, provided at least one of the contestants on the team is a BSU student
> Entries must be the original work of the entrants and may be submitted by an individual student or multi-student team.
> The size of the team and number of entries is not restricted.  The business must be a realistic, marketable idea.
> This competition is intended for ventures that have not yet received venture capital financing.

** If you are not a member of the BSU community and would like to enroll in the competition, we may be able to help connect you with a participating student.  We request you send us a brief description of your business and operational profile. We will pass this profile to interested students who would like to participate in the contest but do not have a business idea of their own as soon as possible for you.
