Advisory Boards

The Center for Entrepreneurship Studies (CES) complements the services provided by state and local government and private agencies. We provide students, faculty and local business owners with the opportunity to exchange ideas, build entrepreneurial skills and engage in entrepreneurial activities.

  Our Objectives
  • Enhance faculty and student research and scholarships
  • Enhance the undergraduate and graduate programs at BSU
  • Provide outreach activities that contribute to the local economy
  • Support student engagement in community and global issues
  • Stimulate interdisciplinary interactions among faculty, students, librarians and staff

Dr. Diana Jennings
Administrative Director

Dr. Diana Jennings, PhD, is Director of Regional Outreach and Administrative Director at the Center for Entrepreneurship Studies at Bridgewater State University. Her specialties include program and project management especially in the sciences, academic, business, and technical outreach, and higher education administration. She holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Norman Brust

2011 Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Norman Brust is the 2011 Entrepreneur-in- Residence at the Center for Entrepreneurship Studies at Bridgewater State University. He has over thirty years of successful management, marketing, engineering and manufacturing experience with technology based companies. A recognized authority on consultative, business-to-business sales and marketing, Mr Brust is the founder and principal of NTB Associates, a sales and marketing management consulting firm.

Mr. Brust has taught at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He has conducted numerous workshops and seminars for many organizations including the Rhode Island Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center at Bryant University, the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center at Clark University, the Association of Small Business Development Centers, the Southeastern Massachusetts Manufacturing Partnership, Roger Williams University, and the Massachusetts Center for Applied Technology.

Mr. Brust is an Emeritus Member and Past Chair of the Executive Board of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Venture Forum. He is also an Advisory Board member of the Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum at UMASS Dartmouth. Mr. Brust holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Brown University and a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Northeastern University.

 

The CES Advisory Board,  consists of: CES Director(s); the Dean of the School of Business; representatives of distinguished entrepreneurs; members of government and non-government agencies assisting entrepreneurs; heads of local Chambers of Commerce and community bankers.

This board assists the Director(s) and the Dean in decisions about the strategic direction of the Center. They also help publicize the Center and help with ideas and contacts for the speaker series, conferences and sponsors. The board also assists with decisions concerning programs enhancing the academic programs and research at BSU.
