Why Study Chemistry at Bridgewater State College?

The Chemical Sciences Department at BSC is a small, close-knit community of students, teachers, mentors and scholars. Our Bachelor of Science programs in Professional, Environmental, and Biochemistry are certified by the American Chemical Society. We pride ourselves on our small class sizes and the individual attention that our students receive both in the classroom and the laboratory. Undergraduate research is an integral part of the program. Each faculty member is actively engaged in research along side our students. This type of attention, which can be rare at the larger "research oriented" universities, provides our students with a learning environment that is unique among public institutions.
