The BSU Children's Center Teachers

    

 

Jane Doyon, teacher - explorer group
Jane is a 1987 graduate of BSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She also completed her master's degree in early childhood at BSU in May 1995. Jane began teaching at the Children's Center in September 1988 and serves as acting director in the director's absence.

  

Deborah Drago, teacher - investigator group
Debbie is a 1980 graduate of Bridgewater State University with a degree in special education. She taught for seven years at the Mayflower Child Care in Plymouth - a residential program for severely handicapped children. Debbie completed a master's program in early childhood education here at BSU in 1983 and has been teaching at the Children's Center since November 1987.

 

Eileen Estudante, lead teacher - explorer group
Eileen graduated from BSU in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. After substituting for the Children's Center for four years, she became a part of our permanent staff in September 1998. In addition to the many conferences and seminars she attends throughout the year, Eileen wishes to continue her education by pursuing a master's degree in early childhood education in the near future.

 

Joanne Hogan, lead teacher - investigator group
Joanne holds a BA in English from Assumption College and a Master of Education in Early Childhood from BSU. Before joining the Children's Center, Joanne worked at Lasell College in Newton as a transitional kindergarten teacher, and at Peabody Terrace Children's Center in Cambridge, a Harvard University affiliated program, where she was a preschool teacher and team coordinator for six years. She also ran a family child care business and has two daughters of her own.

 

Nicole West, teacher - explorer group
Nicole graduated in 2009 from Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. While attending Salem State, Nicole worked in their preschool program for three years as a teacher's assistant. She has also worked at the East Bridgewater YMCA for seven years, most recently as the program director of Camp Satucket as well as site coordinator of the after school program. Nicole would like to pursue her master's degree in communication disorders.
