African-American Society (Afro-Am)

This club known as "Afro-Am", is the oldest ethnically based student club at BSU. Founded in 1970, Afro-Am works to promote black consciousness and identity, develop and maintain community programs with neighboring black communities, and advance social, cultural, economic and political opportunities for people of African descent.

Student Union (ASU)

ASU is a
diverse group of students which tries to bring knowledge and
understanding of Asian culture to BSU. Another goal of ASU is
to help the Asian community feel comfortable and welcome in the
Bridgewater Community and at BSU.

Cape Verdean Student Association (CVSA)

CVSA was established in 1996, sponsors numerous social and academic events for Cape Verdean students and provides opportunities for faculty, staff and students from other ethnic backgrounds to come together and learn about Cape Verdean culture and heritage.

La Sociedad Latina, formerly known as the Latino Club, was founded in 1993. The organization works to promote unity and cultural awareness to the college and community to recognize Hispanic heritage through a wide range of annual programs and cultural events.

Men Integrated in Brotherhood (MIB)
Joe Bogle - President
The purpose of this organization is to give support, show respect and create a sense of brotherhood among minority men at BSU. As young men, MIB's are trying to build a strong community. It is important to build a family atmosphere for all men to help us grow mentally, physically, spiritually, educationally, psychologically, and socially.

Sister Scholars
Shenaya Martin - President
Sister Scholars is a support group for young women here at BSU.
Our goals are to reach out to each other and to other women in the
community both on and off campus and to promote and enhance
leadership and education among young women. Our mission is
to support women of all ethnic backgrounds by creating a sisterhood
focused on serving our community and respecting each other as women.

United Caribbean Culture organization shall serve as a focus at BSU for all students and other members of the
BSU community interested in Caribbean culture and affairs. The club shall engage in promoting awareness, which will contribute to the progress of the Caribbean community at large.

Student Association
(ASA) Grace Famobiwo - President
The African Student Association (ASA) is an organization that is
open to all students regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual
orientation, or age who want to embrace and celebrate the remarkably
diverse African Cultures. ASA raises awareness and inspires
educational discussions surrounding various issues in Africa; to
propose solutions and steps needed in resolving the troubles that
are prevalent in Africa. Our Goal is to create and maintain a social
and educational network between ASA members and its affiliates that
encourages scholarship, friendship and involvement within the BSU
community and beyond.

Haitian
American Student Association
(HASA) Dinacheley Masse - President
HASA became a recognized student organization here at BSU in
September of 2010. The idea to form HASA came shortly after
the tragic earthquake in Haiti. Our goal in this group is to spread
the Haitian culture around campus and in the community. We also
focus on finding ways to improve the conditions of Haiti by hosting
events and fundraisers centered on the Haitian Culture.
