Basic Needs

It's quite simple. Food. Shelter. Clothing. These are the absolute minimum resources we all need in order to live. Unfortunately, not everyone has all of these necessities or they have them in limited quantities. The Community Service Center has programs that address these basic needs. Along with the BSC Catholic Center, volunteers serve dinner at Father Bill's & MainSpring House and deliver food and furniture to families with My Brother's Keeper. During breaks, students spend a week building affordable housing in the United States with Habitat for Humanity's Collegiate Challenge. Jumpstart sponsors "Baskets of Love" during the holidays in order to fulfill wish lists for families. The Center participates in Project Bread's annual Walk for Hunger in Boston. There are many ways for you to do your part in helping others gain access to the basic needs!
