We know that you want to find a master’s degree in counseling that meets your interests and passions. That’s why we offer six counseling degrees and post-master’s licensure programs with concentrations in mental health, school counseling, school adjustment counseling and student affairs. Our program was the first counselor education program in Massachusetts to receive national accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

At BSU, you will:

  • Learn from faculty members with expansive expertise. All BSU master’s degree in counseling faculty are licensed counselors in Massachusetts and have PhDs in the field. You’ll work closely with these experts in our counseling degree programs as you gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to pursue fieldwork experiences and rewarding professional careers.
  • Study in small courses. Your master’s degree in counseling classes will never have more than 15 students. This means you will have more opportunities to work with faculty and collaborate more with your master’s degree in counseling classmates.
  • Gain experience in top-notch facilities. BSU students within our counseling degree programs spend ample time in our counselor education lab. Using cutting-edge audio and visual technology, you’ll get real-time feedback as you practice counseling skills.
