Dr. Jo-Ann Della Giustina, associate professor and graduate program coordinator of criminal justice, was invited to participate in the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety's conference, "Rethinking Reentry: A Massachusetts Imperative." The goal of the conference was to create tailored, concrete strategies to suport successful reentry of returning citizens after incarceration. It was held in anticipation of Gov. Deval Patrick's statewide Reentry Task Force. Also, Dr. Della Giustina will present her paper, "Incarcerated workers in the Prison Industrial Complex: From convict leasing to modern-day prison labor," at the Justice Studies Association conference in Chicago. She is the national treasurer of the Justice Studies Association.
