The Counseling Center has a positive reputation on campus 

Most students believe that counseling helped them to be committed to their academic success

During two separate weeks of the 2008-2009 school year, students attending sessions at the Center were encouraged to complete anonymous satisfaction surveys. The following information describes the results of the 66 students who ended up completing surveys:
  • 92.4% of the students felt that their counselor respected and treated them in a professional manner.

  • 76.1% of students were generally satisfied with the services they received.

  • 85.7% of students said that they would refer other students to the Counseling Center. 

  • 68.1% of the students felt that their counselor understood their concerns and problems.

  • 78.7% of students would recommend their counselor to other students.

  • 85.7% of the students said that it was easy to make an appointment. 

  • 63.3% of the students reported that their counseling experience helped them to resolve their concerns and problems.

  • Most students also said that their counselor helped them to find resources/support for services, both on and off campus.

  • "The Counseling Center was always there when I needed them."

  • "Great!  I would definitely recommend it to others."

  • "I look forward to coming to counseling every time.  No matter how big or small the problem, counseling is beneficial.  Thanks for being there."

  • "I have been all over Taunton and Middleboro to find good help, and (it) turns out it's at BSC."

  • "I don't believe anything needs to be improved!  I just recently recommended my friend to counseling."

  • "I found my counselor helpful when it became difficult to deal with my life."

  • "The Counseling Center helped my through my depression.  I don't know if I would have made it through college without them."
